Main Topic

Personal and family health impacts following COVID-19 vaccination, including menstrual disruption, spouse myocarditis, and psychological effects on her son amid pandemic measures.

One Line Summary

A Montreal hospitality worker recounts menstrual changes after Pfizer vaccination, her partner’s myocarditis months later, and her son’s depression during QR code restrictions.

Synopsis

Caroline Foucault, a hospitality industry worker from the Greater Montreal area, testified that she received two doses of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine in 2021 after trusting government messaging that vaccination would restore freedoms and protect others. Following her second dose, she experienced significant menstrual changes, including intense bleeding and pain that she had not previously encountered. She reported raising the issue with her family physician, who reassured her and did not attribute the symptoms to vaccination. She stated that she was not informed of potential risks prior to receiving the injections.
She further testified that her partner, aged 46, developed severe myocarditis and pericarditis approximately seven to eight months after receiving two Pfizer doses. He was hospitalized with elevated troponin levels and required emergency transfer and extended recovery. According to her testimony, a cardiologist dismissed a possible vaccine connection due to the time interval exceeding six weeks. She described ongoing health concerns for her partner and stated that no clear support pathway was offered for suspected vaccine-related injury.
Foucault also described the psychological impact of pandemic measures on her son, who refused vaccination and experienced social isolation and depression during QR code enforcement. She stated that her trust in government and media institutions has been significantly diminished and expressed fear of censorship and reprisals for speaking publicly. She indicated that acknowledgment of institutional errors and restoration of transparency would be necessary conditions for reconsidering her stated intention to leave Canada.
