Witness Testimony

Dan Hartman testified that his 17-year-old son Sean, a passionate hockey player, received a COVID-19 vaccine in 2021 in order to continue participating in the sport he loved. Four days after vaccination, Sean developed symptoms including vomiting, rash, dark circles under his eyes, and severe shoulder pain opposite the injection site. Hartman stated that at the emergency department no blood work was performed and no D-dimer or troponin testing was ordered; Sean was discharged with advice to take Advil. On September 27, 2021, Sean was found deceased on the floor beside his bed.
Hartman testified that a complete autopsy including genetic and toxicology testing was conducted, but the official cause of death was listed as “unascertained.” He described his son as a healthy, respectful teenager with no underlying medical conditions and stated he cannot accept the absence of explanation. He believes there is no logical cause other than the vaccine and described ongoing grief, insomnia, depression, and participation in counseling and support groups for bereaved parents.
He further testified that he connected with other parents internationally who reported similar sudden deaths following vaccination with causes listed as unascertained. Through social media he was introduced to a U.S. pathologist who has received Sean’s preserved tissue samples and is conducting specialized staining tests for spike protein. Hartman stated he is awaiting those results and believes they will confirm vaccine causation. He concluded that his son was the center of his life and expressed profound and continuing emotional devastation.
