Witness Testimony

Robert Holloway, a Manitoba commercial litigator, testified about his independent research into COVID-19 risk demographics and pediatric vaccination policy. He stated that early international data suggested minimal risk to healthy children and later concluded, through reviewing peer-reviewed studies and a British Medical Journal article provided by a legal colleague, that there was significant debate within the medical community regarding vaccinating children. He contrasted this with what he described as a lack of disclosure of such debate on CDC and Health Canada websites and raised concerns about emergency authorization and limited long-term clinical trial data.
Holloway described tension within his family regarding vaccinating his children and stated that, after reviewing additional studies and consulting a physician source who allegedly referenced a directive discouraging physicians from departing from public health messaging, he and his wife decided against a second dose for their children. He characterized the broader environment as one of censorship and self-censorship across media, public health authorities, professional regulators, and institutions, arguing that the absence of open debate impaired informed consent and public decision-making.
He also testified about participating in and providing legal assistance to organizers of the Freedom Convoy protest in Winnipeg. Following the invocation of the Emergencies Act, he described withdrawing cash due to fear of asset freezing and engaging in precautionary communication practices due to perceived surveillance risks. Holloway stated that he felt criminalized for peaceful protest and expressed ongoing concern about civil liberties, judicial backlogs, and what he viewed as a failure to allow open societal dialogue during the pandemic.
