Dr. Stephen Malthouse, a family physician from British Columbia with over four decades of practice, testified regarding his opposition to COVID-19 public health measures and vaccination policies. He described early advocacy for vitamin D and integrative approaches to respiratory illness prevention, stating that public health authorities did not adopt these measures. He expressed the view that masking, lockdowns, PCR testing practices, and vaccination policies were not supported by sound science and asserted that there was no increase in all-cause mortality in 2020 prior to vaccine rollout.
He detailed his public criticism of provincial health officials, including written correspondence challenging vaccine safety and transmission claims. Following these actions, he reported complaints to the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia, legal representation in disciplinary proceedings, and eventual suspension of his medical licence for issuing vaccine and mask exemptions. He also described being de-banked and publicly criticized in media coverage.
Dr. Malthouse outlined his involvement in national speaking tours under initiatives such as “Educate Before You Vaccinate” and “Justice for the Vaccinated,” where he and other physicians presented concerns about vaccine safety, pediatric vaccination, reported injuries, and athlete cardiac events. He concluded by urging physicians to speak out, characterizing the pandemic response as involving both public health harms and broader societal integrity challenges.
