Main Topic

Testimony describing onset of cardiac symptoms, autonomic nervous system disorder diagnosis, and ongoing dizziness following Moderna vaccination received under facility access pressure.

One Line Summary

Carley Walterson-Dupuis testified that after receiving a Moderna shot to maintain access to her children’s sports facilities, she developed heart palpitations and was later diagnosed with an autonomic nervous system disorder.

Synopsis

Carley Walterson-Dupuis testified that she received a Moderna COVID-19 vaccine on June 28, 2021, in order to maintain access to sports facilities for her children. Within days, she developed gastrointestinal symptoms, followed by vertigo, and then progressive cardiac symptoms including heart palpitations, shortness of breath, chest pain, and exercise intolerance. At approximately five weeks post-vaccination, she attended urgent care due to severe palpitations and breathlessness; an EKG was performed but showed normal results, and physicians declined to consider a vaccine-related cause.
She was referred to a cardiologist who repeated testing and, despite normal EKG findings, was dismissive and encouraged her to receive an additional vaccine dose, which she refused. After continued symptoms, she was referred to a second cardiologist who acknowledged the condition as vaccine-related and diagnosed her with an autonomic nervous system disorder. She was prescribed beta blockers. However, she later discovered that the cardiologist’s written medical record attributed her condition to COVID rather than vaccination.
Over time, her symptoms fluctuated, with some improvement by early 2022. She sought alternative care including nutritional and supplement-based approaches after feeling unsupported within the conventional healthcare system. At the time of testimony, she reported significant cardiac improvement but persistent daily dizziness triggered by head movement. She stated that prior to vaccination she was in excellent health with no prior medical conditions.
